Hi there! I’m Samantha,

and this space encompasses my personal milestones made beautiful in His time. Combining my flair for easy-to-read writing and my love for photography, here you'll find me sharing the thing I'm most passionate about - travel, food, fashion and my conversations with God.

*P.S when God was blessing others with the gift of height, He left me out realizing that great things come in tiny packages, so instead I am gifted with endless energy and a big wide smile to get through difficult times.

Forever & always, a child of God. Through this cozy little virtual haven, I hope each post inspires at least someone out there with my life stories.

The Noobs Outing

On a sunny bright morning, I entered Cafe Cartel, wanting to try their breakfast set.
Saw it from the Menu the other night I was at the Plaza Sing branch, after TIMBRE (Old School), so decided to jio Regina for breakfast.

To my surprise, they do not serve breakfast on Weekdays! I didn't know initially. What a bimbo!

So... I waited for her at Siglap MACS while writing my X'mas cards & decided to go back for brunch, instead. If you know me, I have to satisfy my cravings. SO, to satisfy my craving for a nice breakfast, I immediately looked at the 'Sandwich' section on the normal-day menu, & ordered 'Ham & Cheese & Egg Sandwich', (they have it on the breakfast menu). So technically I would have eaten about the same thing if it were to be for breakfast. Only that for the sides, I get fries and salad w awesome vignette sauce, instead of hash browns. And, now it's fried egg instead of scrambled eggs which I prefer the latter.

It was a very generous serving, I couldn't finish it! :/
If you tried putting them together, it's actually 3 layers with 3 slices of bread topped with those ingredients. Woah, you see! They cut small pieces making it easier to pop into our mouths, but looks are deceiving, and u get it...

* GOOD NEWS FOLKS!
I'm going to write a blog post abt the whole process on 'Obtaining your driving license: What to do when you turn 18!' Because, I myself, being a total noob in this area, wanted to do research via the internet... read blogs, etc, to see how others do it, BUT, to my utmost horror, no such posts! (And, I figured out why, cause upon reaching there with my camera in hand, the security guard stopped me from taking pictures inside! That's when it dawned upon me that 'Oh, no wonder'. Nevertheless, I will continue to jot down what I learnt and my experience. So you newbies like me will not feel so lost when you turn 18 and is standing right in front of the driving
school!

I'll put it in a separate post (Click THIS!)

Headed down to Bugis to try this new Ice Cream store, SOYATO.

Located in the basement of Bugis Junction, not many will notice even if they walk pass, because it's a really small shop front. However, what they serve is very unique. As how their name goes, SOYA-TO, yes, you may have just guessed it - Ice Cream made from Soya Bean!

Fret not, if you don't like the original soya bean form, because at SOYATO, it comes in many different flavours. From Green Tea to Chocolate, they have it all. To top it off, they have a variety of toppings and syrups to choose from to elevate your soyato experience.

I did taste sample size of afew flavours, however, for me, I preferred the Chocolate one! The Green Tea one was not bad as well, but a little too sweet for me +plus since my friends ordered that, I took Chocolate topped with Cranberry.

What I must comment is:
1) The portion is very generous sized!
I couldn't finish it because the 1 scoop seemed like 2.5scoops. It was huge for a 1-scoop Ice Cream.

2) I like the texture of the Soya Ice Cream.
It was very soft (perhaps that's what Soya does to it) and it gives you a full mouthful feeling when putting into your mouth!

3) I don't really like the mixture of taste, of Soya and Ice Cream.
Yes, it's a healthier alternative and it has a unique taste, but I found that personally, I don't like it. I prefer the original types of Ice Cream. It's because when I tried Soyato, despite ordering flavoured ones, I still could taste the SOYAbeans and I don't like the combination of them both. I would be better if customers were not able to taste the soyabeans. Also, after eating for a few mouths, I didn't want to continue already cause the taste was so overwhelming and it's one of those food, after eating a few mouths you just won't continue.

4) I love the cranberry toppings
Sweet as it may be, it was fresh and refreshed me!
